Our Retreats

Environments where ministry couples can reconnect with each other and be restored by God — without a packed program.

The Anti-Retreat

Reconnect & Restore

Designed for married couples engaged in full-time Christian ministry.

Come away for a few days of soul restoration. We prepare the place in prayer; you and God set the pace. Whether you want to top off your tanks, feel depleted, or somewhere in between — this is space to reconnect with each other and be restored for the journey ahead.

Rest in a hammock, enjoy incredible vistas, take a peaceful walk or vigorous hike, explore nature, visit quaint towns, tour the back roads … or simply enjoy. At MRM we trust that God will provide restoration when we give Him space.

A Place Prepared for Rest

We host retreats in restorative settings chosen for beauty, privacy, and room to breathe. One place we have used is The Refuge at Lost Creek near Bailey, Colorado — nestled in the Rocky Mountains on acreage tucked into the Pike National Forest, with rustic-chic cabins, a community lodge, and outdoor gathering spaces that balance connection and privacy.

Venue and dates for each gathering are announced when registration opens. See Registration for the latest, or reach out with questions.

FAQs

Is this place too remote?

No. Settings we choose are removed, but not remote — reasonable access, cell service where possible, and WiFi available if you really can’t unplug. You can also wander out the back door into wide open space.

How do we get there?

Travel details depend on the venue for each retreat. For mountain settings near Denver, a rental SUV with AWD/4WD is often recommended. Once you arrive, you can stay put for the entire retreat, or use it as a base camp for exploration.

There must be an agenda?

Yes, but that’s between you and God. We typically offer a light orientation to the retreat center, suggested reading or journaling you can do on your own, meals, and availability around campfires and gathering spaces. Opt in or out — your call.

Are there group activities?

It depends on what you and the others want. Some days we may offer to meet up at a local attraction for fly fishing, hiking, or just to enjoy a special place. Again you can opt in or out — there’s no pressure. Evening gatherings on the deck or at the campfire are popular.

What’s included?

Typically several days and nights in a restorative setting, a cozy cabin or lodging with thoughtful touches, and daily meals (breakfast, simple lunch you can pack if you’ll be out, and an evening meal). Exact inclusions are listed when each retreat opens for registration.

Is this place for real?

Yes. Photos on this site were taken at retreat settings we use. It’s unplugged and unplanned by us — discover God’s agenda for your restoration at your own pace, in a spectacular place.
